Over the years Artweek has grown to include venues across the Holme Valley and surrounding areas to form “The Fringe”.
Our visitors love to extend their stay by visiting our Fringe venues. In 2026 there were over 50 Fringe venues across the Holme Valley, Colne Valley and beyond.
In 2027 we will be hosting a Fringe only Holmfirth Artweek, with venues across the local area joining us again to showcase an exciting and diverse array of work from a variety of different artists.

In 2027 we will be only be accepting applications in certain locations namely the Holme Valley and the Colne Valley, this is to make sure our event is as accessible as possible. If you are located outside of that area we may be able to support you with finding a venue closer to others within Holme and Colne Valleys, so please do contact us.
Successful applicants will be contacted for a registration fee of £50 and required to provide further details and photographs to promote your event.
Deadline for applications & payment is midnight, 14 Feb 2027 after which all content must be received no later than 14th March 2027
As a fringe venue or artist please bear in mind that you will need to ensure you are open during Artweek 2027, you can adequately staff your venue and you donate a minimum of 20% on all sales and commissions made to our chosen charity partners.
As Holmfirth Artweek will not be having a main exhibition in 2027, The Guide will not be printed for 2027. Instead fringe exhibitions will be listed as a full page on this website (see examples here) In addition we will be producing a printed map/leaflet to help visitors plan and find their way around during the week. We will also support with marketing and promotion in the run up to and during the event via our channels and we will also provide printed materials to help make your event a success for more information. Our team will be on hand to support you in the planning of the event so if you have questions please do let us know.
If you are a venue without an artist, or an artist without a venue it may be that we are able to pair you up please contact us for info
Considering becoming a fringe event?
Here are some top things to consider:
- Once your application has been reviewed we will confirm via email if you have been selected to be a fringe venue.
- We ask for a small contribution to take part in Artweek, this covers a full page on this website, as well as other marketing materials such as posters and signs.
- By signing up to be an Artweek Fringe event you are agreeing to passing on at least 20% of any artwork sales to Artweek.
- We ask for venues and artists to arrange and coordinate themselves, and although we can be on hand to help, we ask that artists and venues link up and manage any logistics, the displaying of work, staffing the venue as well as sales and payment details.
- If you are a venue, you should only apply once you have an artist sorted to exhibit in your space. Likewise, if you are an artist, you should only apply once you have a venue sorted to exhibit your work.
- Although we love having a wide variety of Fringe venues in various locations we cannot accommodate all requests. You should consider if your venue is the right size, in the right location and has the right footfall to make it the ideal place to become a fringe event.
